Movie Poster Concept
This was a grad school typography project: Students blindly drew three pieces of paper from a hat — each containing an unrelated noun — and were charged with building a project around those three items. The words I drew were Stanley Kubrick, insomnia, and the Wankel rotary engine.
The pretend movie INSOMNIA details the descent into madness of a renown engineer with a rare form of fatal insomnia (directed by Stanley Kubrick of course). The poster concept employs illustrative type and lenticular printing to reflect the nature of his mental state. 3-frame lenticular (holographic) print morphs as you walk by.
